Believe it or not, this beautiful grand private residence approximately 100 years old was ( in my opinion ) vandalised by the decision to render. If that wasn’t bad enough the tradesmen thinking they were doing a good job, chipped all the bricks with a hammer to give a better key for the render. The render caused severe damp problems over the years and also with the added risk of bits falling.
The owner wisely took the decision to remove the rendering . Although all the damage could not be rectified 100%, the owner could finally relax as he no longer has the persistent problems of maintaining the render and the damp issues were solved. They now look forward to passing it on to future generations knowing that the exterior will only improve with age.
